As a writer and artist, the value of growth had been something I’ve understood for a long time. To grow is to adapt, and to adapt is to survive. While in artistic expression it isn’t quite life and death, the same principle applies. If one expects to excel in any artistic pursuit, growth must be embraced.

Over the years I have grown. I’ve grown to develop more complex characters and plots in my writing, and in my role playing I’ve grown to understand who I best ‘mesh’ with, and who I don’t. In some cases, this has been through rather dramatic trial and error and yes, the need for healing and time has been involved.

I am not interested in bad mouthing people or gossip as I believe in growth and that events and actions of the past need to stay there, regardless of perceived offences. While not forgotten, they should at least be overlooked until they are proven true once again. That being said, I’m not sure that everyone shares that perspective and that is something that needs to work both ways.

So, it is with great disappointment that I’m closing this board. Earth: Final Conflict was something I enjoyed as an awkward, anti-social teenager. As a socially difficult adult, I still enjoy it. However, I find the challenges of trying to enjoy it with some members of this small community to simply not be worth my time. If you are offended, I offer my most sincere apologies. This isn’t meant to be offensive, simply an explanation (albeit a long one) to why this board is shut down and why at the moment, I do not plan to reopen it.
